1. Prototype production
There are various methods for manufacturing silver accessories, but we use a method called "lost wax." First, a prototype is made using wax.
The design is created by hand in three dimensions according to the designer's specifications. Fine details are created using chisels and trowels. The finishing touches here will determine the final result.

These are tools used to create prototypes, such as carving knives and trowels. Various tools are used depending on the shape.
2. Casting
There is a casting process called "casting." Kasuu Kobo's products are cast in-house at the basement factory at our Sendagaya headquarters and our own factory in Nonthaburi, Thailand. This allows us to achieve a quality that cannot be achieved by outsourcing.
3. Polishing and brazing
Silver that has just been cast is whitish and rough. By polishing this surface, called the "cast surface," it is finished to the silver color known for accessories.

Various tools are used for polishing. Files and grinders are the main tools used for polishing.

When making accessories that consist of multiple parts, the parts need to be glued together. This is done using a gas burner, a process called "brazing." The area where fire is used is called the "fire bed." Of course, we pay the utmost attention to safety.

4. Stone setting
The silver is firmly fixed with pine resin, and the stones are fixed in place using small chisels. This is a process that only artisans with a wealth of craftsmanship can perform.

5. Final polishing
The silver is polished with a soft buff and cloth to create a lustrous silver finish. Kasuu Kobo's silver accessories go through a seven-stage polishing process, with the final polishing using cotton being carried out by a specialized craftsman to create a smooth surface. The reputation that Kasuu Kobo's accessories are comfortable to wear comes from this careful polishing.

6. Quality Check
We check each piece to make sure there are no dents, scratches, or air bubbles, and that it has been polished properly.

7. Completion
In this way, each silver accessory is completed by hand by a craftsman.
