Description
The Yukiakebono Series features the motifs of pine, bamboo, plum, and snow, which are considered symbols of good fortune .
Inspired by the image of a snowy dawn, which is considered to be one of the more elegant and long-lasting designs, the piece depicts an impressive depiction of falling snow and bamboo, with the scene illuminated by the morning sun in gold.
Wajima Urushi Chopsticks are made without a base coat, using synthetic resin paint for the undercoat and chopstick heads, and a top coat of natural lacquer. The top coat is applied by hand by Wajima artisans, and all parts that normally come into contact with the hands, including the part that goes into the mouth, are lacquered with natural lacquer, giving them a luxurious feel. While the base coat is not applied, these chopsticks are extremely lightweight, making them perfect for everyday use. The design uses Takasago powder, a gold-colored finish applied by vacuum deposition to pure silver. The coarse silver powder catches the light and sparkles. The more you use them, the more their texture changes, allowing you to enjoy the unique changes that only silver can provide. They make a great gift, as well as a great keepsake.
