Description

This is a single hairpin with a motif of a Japanese umbrella and swallows flying back and forth in the rain.

This hairpin is full of emotion, like a cut-out of a Japanese landscape, and evokes images of an umbrella swaying with every step, water droplets trickling down the umbrella, and a swallow gliding through the rain. The rain is expressed using ball chains, beads, and strips of paper, and the swallow is cut out in a clean form using an openwork plate, giving it a gentle and calming impression.

The stem is made of durable and easy-to-handle brass, so even those with thick hair can easily style it all with just one. You can enjoy adjusting the look by combining it with other kanzashi to create a cute or cool look. This is an easy-to-use kanzashi that looks great with yukata or casual clothing.

Designer's thoughts
The scene of two umbrellas tilting their umbrellas to avoid getting wet in the rain and passing each other is depicted on the hairpin along with swallows flying low in the sky. The swaying umbrellas and the flying swallows are a unique design that has never been seen before and make a strong impact, but there is also a gentle atmosphere to be found within.
