Description
A tortoiseshell-style hairpin with a transparent, amber-colored sheen and modern, sparkling mother-of-pearl lines.
This bat-shaped hairpin features a warm, amber-colored fan surface reminiscent of tortoiseshell, a material beloved in Japan since ancient times, and is decorated with iridescent mother-of-pearl.
The beautiful translucent amber body blends well with the skin and complements both black and brown hair. The top of the fan is decorated with mother-of-pearl inlay, which curves like a crescent moon floating in the night sky. The classic tortoiseshell texture is combined with the fantastical shine and sharp design unique to shell, resulting in a finish that exudes traditional yet modern sophistication.
The right handle is engraved with the gold lettering "Kasho." Its simple yet beautiful form is perfect for elegant attire such as formal formal wear and plain kimono, as well as casual kimono styles such as komon and tsumugi. The timeless design ensures that it will be a favorite for many years to come.
