Description
Karasu Tengu, a creature with a bird-like beak and dressed like a mountain ascetic, is a creature of legend throughout Japan. This silver ring features a mask of the legendary monster, with a three-dimensional feel that is carefully crafted down to the smallest detail.
The Karasu Tengu, described as both a monster and a god, is said to have large wings on its back and to fly freely through the sky. It is also an accomplished swordsman, and one legend has it that a Karasu Tengu from Mount Kurama taught swordsmanship to the young Ushiwakamaru. While Karasu Tengu is a Japanese monster, the tribal patterns on its face give it an ethnic feel, highlighting the strength of the Tori Tengu. Carefully carved into the fine details of its beak and feathers, this ring has an outstanding presence. We also recommend wearing it with a netsuke or earrings.
